- Worked as a senior resident (Cardiology) at Dr RML Hospital, New Delhi
- Consultant at Apollo Hospital, Secunderabad, Hyderabad.
- Joined IGIMS in 2012 as an Assistant Professor in Cardiology and grew to Professor and head of the department in Feb 2023 and is holding this post till now.
Expertise & Contributions
- He has more than 100 papers in various International and Indian Journals with a high Indexing rate. He has also contributed many chapters to books.
- He is the master operator of all Complex Angioplasties including calcification, bifurcation, CTO, etc. with a keen interest in structural heart interventions. He has done over 10000, angiographies, 5000 angioplasties, 4000 Pacemaker /ICDS/CRTs, and over 100 valvuloplasties.
- He developed intervention cardiology at IGIMS with all interventions under one roof. He is a fellow of many world renowned societies viz American College of Cardiology (FACC), Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention (SCAI), European Society of Cardiology (ESC), Cardiology Society of India (FCSI) & Indian Collage of Cardiology (FICC).
- He has a keen interest in academics and is a dedicated clinician. Under his guidance, 10 DM students have passed successfully and doing well at their places. He is also academic charge of DM/DNB Students of the whole of Bihar.
- He is the editor of the Bihar Journal of Cardiology and secretary of the Bihar Interventional Council. Besides academic & administrative responsibilities, he is a great mythological lover & Sci-Fi reader, watching movies & traveling.
